enjoy some dirty lyrics...

I started this post by writing- 'She works hard for the money candy' in the title box. It took me maybe 30 seconds to realize what Donna Summer was singing about. "hmmm, maybe a different song lyric" I decided.

Then when all I could come up with was- 'Here's your one chance Fancy don't let me down..." I scrapped the lyric idea and moved on. Sorry Reba.

What's going on in my head?!

Anyway...

As the rest of the clan is icky-sick it fell upon Brenda to claim a fair share of sweets at our church 'trunk-or-treat' event. She made me proud. She laughed, said 'Thank you!', and worked the crowd with the occasional tip of her hat or swing of her cape. Perhaps I was a little arrogant as I paraded her around.

Well, she was the cutest little witch there...

(The tape on the hat is from me. I made it. yup)

Sometimes I want to wear a sign with her picture that says,

She's mine. Neener-neener

Then we get home and she screams at her siblings for wanting some candy.
She tries to flood the bathroom during her bath.
She locks Garret in his room 'cause he's noisy.

That's when I want to
flip that sign over where it would say,

I pay well for babysitting...

teehee.

P.S. I get any candy with coconut.

Gee, thanks Lindsay, I never put that together about the Donna Summer song. Ruined, it's ruined.
That is the classiest witch I have ever seen.

Adorable pictures, Lindsay.
And ditto to what Sue said. I really hate it when the meaning to a song is revealed to me. I can never listen to it the same way again.

When Jess was young I got an 80's CD because music was just better then and had decent lyrics. I ate my words when we listened to it and I found out what I had been singing about all those years ago. I guess I was pretty naive!

Whoops! Didn't think I was first to figure that one out... It was not long ago that I listened closely to one of my all time favorites- 'Come on Irene' (grumble) -bunch o' dirty minds...

I never put that one together either - but then we listen to songs with lyrics rather seldomly and when we do it's old stuff like Harry Belafonte and Danny Kaye. If you're eating all the candy with coconut you could start singing "I've got a loverly bunch of coconuts. There they are a standin' in a row. Fat ones, small ones, some as big as your head. Give 'em a twist, a flick of the wrist, that's what the showman said, he said..." Make sure you sing it with an english accent now :-D
