wake up to this!

I just bought this quilt (& shams) online. Oh mama. I LOVE it. Yeah, yeah, I know it's much more flowery than I normally lean. I can't explain, but I LOVE IT.

My bedroom, since being married, has always just been a hodgepodge of, well, stuff. Enough! So now I can start developing the room around this bedding. hmmmm- What color on the walls? What type of headboard? Any inspiring ideas?

Oh this is going to be fun...

I decorated my whole living area around a rug I found at Freddie's. Ya gotta start somewhere!

I love it!! Our bedroom has always been my least favorite room too, as far as decorating. I hope that someday I can get it all glammed up! Can't wait to see your final result!!!!

It's beautiful! I love it too! I'm thinking a pretty pale gold on the walls.

That is very pretty. What about a nice pale blue to add contrast? I have really been into the blues lately. Don't know why, but dark or light, deep or pale, I like blue.

Love it!! I would decorate around the red and golds. My room too needs work, we still don't have bedroom furniture!! Some day!

I love blue too. Is there a rust color in there? I think you should pull out the red and paint one wall that color and the others a pale, pale yellow. Too much red is not a good thing in a bedroom, but maybe the wall behind the bed? If it's not red that I'm seeing then I think the whole room in a pale yellow or the color green that's in the quilt would be so pretty.

I'm with Kathy, and no wonder, practically my whole house is pale gold. Or maybe ... is that green in the trim color? ... that's an option. I wouldn't go with the pickish color. If you do, you'll look back on it in about 15 years and wonder what you were thinking. Don't use a color that isn't in the print.

You should do a homemade headboard with brown fabric and buttons sewn into it. :)

Thanks for the love and ideas! I think I've decided on the 'look'. I promise to post final pictures when done. (I know you're all on the edge of your seats, right?)
